American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA) and International Association of Movers (IAM) have joined with
Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association (IMAWA)
to make Mover's Benefit Trust available to mover members operating throughout the USA.

If you're a member in "good standing" of AMSA, IAM or IMAWA,
we are pleased to offer you an opportunity to participate in your
new employee healthcare benefit plan. It's exclusive to member movers, their employees and dependents.

Now considered the second largest single employer expense for most American businesses, movers are not alone in their efforts to reduce and control the cost of their employee healthcare benefits.

You can be proud that AMSA, IAM and IMAWA have all taken the lead in lowering the cost of healthcare for you and their members by providing one national healthcare benefit plan. The purchasing power of these three great associations have now been combined under the Mover's Benefit Trust (MBT) to create a lower cost benefit delivery system.

Both large and small moving companies are all feeling the pinch, but the problem is even more critical for smaller movers. They have to pay more for coverage while still competing with larger companies to attract and keep their employees.

Small movers in general have fewer benefit options available to them and each option includes higher cost factors when compared to the options available to larger companies. The Mover's Benefit Trust (MBT) was established to meet these unique cost and benefit requirements.

The Mover's Benefit Trust qualifies as a fully insured low cost employee benefit plan under federal ERISA standards.
